The three MJAHL representatives of Team Canada East in the recent World Junior A Challenge are now back with their club teams, but have not, nor will they ever forget the experience. Eighteen-year-old Truro Bearcats forward Stephen Horyl, 17-year-old Amherst Ramblers centre Jordan Escott and Pictou County Weeks Crushers head coach Troy Ryan all felt the league was well represented during the early November tournament.

| Andrew Joudrey is a Crusher once again. The 20 year-old forward from Westville N.S. has been with the Commandos this season, tallying 4 points to date in 19 outings. Horyl scored his second goal of exhibition play for Team East on Friday against Team West - his first goal and assist of pre-tournament play came in a 7-1 win over Portage College. Escott earned a pre-tournament marker in that match as well and now the two players and Assistant Coach Troy Ryan will try to continue their success in regular tournament play on Monday. | Slammers to raise awareness for men's health |

The Woodstock Slammers will be participating in the event Movember to raise awareness for men's health. Movember (the month formerly known as November) is a charity event held during November each year. At the start of Movember guys register with a clean shaven face. The Movember participants, known as Mo Bros, have the remainder of the month to grow and groom their moustache, raising money and awareness along the way.

Another
Mariner has moved on to bigger and better things. Justin Saulnier, the
power forward who tallied an impressive 67 points and 229 PIM's in 51
games for the Kent Cup Champs in 20072008 will play for the Laredo
Bucks of the Central Hockey League in 2008/2009. Saulnier came to
Yarmouth after playing four seasons in the QMJHL with the Halifax
Mooseheads and the Val D'or Foreurs. For his efforts on the 07/08
season in Yarmouth, Saulnier was voted to the MJAHL All Star team as a
Centreman. The full details of Saulnier's contract have not been
disclosed.

| MacDonald headed to Dalhousie |

 Another Mariner has been confirmed to play for a CIS team next season.
Earlier it was announced the Jamie Klie and Alex Soucy would play for
Acadia and Moncton. The Mariners have now confirmed that forward
Brendon MacDonald will play for the Dalhousie Tigers in 2008/2009.
