World Jr. A "unbelievable" experience for Escott, Horyl, Ryan

The three MJAHL representatives of Team Canada East in the recent World Junior A Challenge are now back with their club teams, but have not, nor will they ever forget the experience. Eighteen-year-old Truro Bearcats forward Stephen Horyl, 17-year-old Amherst Ramblers centre Jordan Escott and Pictou County Weeks Crushers head coach Troy Ryan all felt the league was well represented during the early November tournament.   ...more
Joudrey headed back to Crushers

Andrew Joudrey is a Crusher once again. The 20 year-old forward from Westville N.S. has been with the Commandos this season, tallying 4 points to date in 19 outings. In his three previous seasons with the Crushers, Joudrey earned a total of 96 points in 166 games and helped the Cruhsers win a Fred Page Cup title last spring. Jackson, Slammers offensive leaders in Week 9

The Woodstock Slammers scored 10 goals last week. Brad Jackson got a point on 8 of them, good enough for Player of the Week honours. Jackson’s 4 goals and 4 assists led MJAHL offense for the week. Teammate John Chayka had 2 goals and 5 assists for a second best 7 points. Jackson led goal scoring with his 4 while 6 players collected 3 markers each (Mike Veysey, Chris Ivanko and Dana Fraser of the Bearcats, Bret McGinnis and Dylan Bellmore of the Timberwolves and Mickey MacDonald of the Lumberjacks).

Huge Game Today For Leaders

The Summerside Western Capitals (13-5-0-0) and the Miramichi Timberwolves (13-5-0-0) will be playing a huge game today. Both teams are looking to take the lead in the Meek Division.
